Sea of Japan

Tokyo -- The Marine Day holiday (umi no hi) has come to Japan again this year, but as it does a controversy is heating up with neighbor South Korea.

The vast majority of governments around the world call the sea that lies between Japan and Korea the "Sea of Japan." However, Korean patriots have long bristled at this fact and are stepping up their campaign to have the waterway called the "East Sea."
