Japan ``Condemns`` Alexandria Terrorist Attack

Tokyo - (PanOrient News) Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs Seiji Maehara sent message of condolences today to his counterpart of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and said that Japan strongly condemns any act of terrorism.

According to a short statement by the Foreign Ministry in Tokyo, Mr. Maehara "expressed his sympathy toward the victims and the bereaved families, and toward the injured for their early recovery.

A bombing attack on January 1 killed and injured citizens in front of a Coptic church in the northern city of Alexandria.
