Dollar Trades At Mid-99 Yen Level

This morning, the dollar was quoted at 99.64-66 yen, and the euro at 131.26-34 yen.
The U.S. dollar rose above the 100 yen line early Monday in Tokyo, supported by the surge of the benchmark Nikkei average over 300 points on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in the same morning, as investors cheered Tokyo's victory in the 2020 Olympic host city race.
