Traders have been selling the U.S. currency to adjust their positions ahead of the release of the Bank of Japan's monetary policy decision on Thursday. In New York on Wednesday, declines in stocks worldwide triggered yen-buying by risk-averse market players as the Japanese unit is deemed as a safe haven, dealers said.
