Japanese demonstrators holding the national flag 'Hinomaru' in Shibuya ward, Tokyo, on Dec. 3, 2011, protesting against Korean and Chinese TV programs being shown by the semi-public NHK, Japan Broadcasting Corp.
The demonstrators started at a popular meeting spot, Hachiko Square in front of Shibuya Station then marched up Koen-dori street to NHK. One sign says that NHK should stop promoting the "Korean wave," which has seen all kinds of South Korean cultural exports become fads in Japan. Another sign expresses opposition to a woman becoming Emperor and one rather bluntly accuses NHK of being a "spy" for China and Korea.
