Tokyo -- Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama's decision to put US priorities ahead of Japanese democratic priorities has exposed him to another political blow: The three-party governing coalition that took power in September 2009 is no more.

At a meeting today in a central Tokyo hotel, delegates of the SDP decided to pull out of the government with immediate effect.
