Casio to Release ‘Chic’ New Watches

Tokyo – (PanOrient News) The Japanese consumer electronics giant Casio announced on Wednesday the release of two new watches to add to its longstanding G-SHOCK line, set to come out in September. The two digital watches, known as GM-5600 and GM-5600B, feature a stainless-steel bezel and square face.
Designed to be lightweight, the watches use a resin for their case and band. In addition, their digital displays feature a light-on-dark style that the company describes as “consistently chic.”
The GM-5600 has a silver bezel and black band, while the GM-5600B comes with a black bezel and either a black or khaki band. They are made to be shock-resistant, the trademark of the G-SHOCK brand, and water-resistant up to 200 meters.
Other specifications of the approximately 73-gram timepieces include a battery life of two years, a multi-function alarm, a stopwatch, a full auto-calendar, an electroluminescent backlight and a countdown timer.
