Here is a tale of comparative corruption in two Asian states.

On the one hand, US and Afghan authorities are planning to stem an outflow of money from Afghanistan thought to consist of drug proceeds and stolen foreign aid exceeding an annual US$1 billion.

The plan centers on using US-developed currency counters at Kabul Airport, the main conduit for removing money from Afghanistan.
