Contrary to popular perceptions, the Chinese economy may be tapering off. Reports are emerging about dwindling growth and growing inflation within the Asian giant's markets.

Although China weathered the Lehman Brothers crisis rather well by boosting domestic demand (via official expenditures, bank lending, and, last but not least, by inflating its statistics), but this strategy may now be hitting its limits.
